CookwiseCookwise project was funded by the Awards for All for 2012 to 2013. The BME members of the community who were suffering from diabetes, heart related diseases and obesity were engaged in our programmes in the Werneth and Coldhurst wards.

The Cookwise project covered various aspects of healthy cooking such as alternative ways to frying, reducing or using no salt, using natural sweets from fruits, cooking without ghee (butter) and health and hygiene in the ordinary house hold kitchen.

The project was a great success and our participants felt that it was really unique project and they have learnt a lot about healthy cooking options.
